Evaluation of TN SIG Preschool Workshops
The TN State Improvement Grant (TN SIG) evaluation collects information on its project activities. This includes information on workshops, trainings and other professional development activities. This information is then used for federal reporting purposes as well as to help the TN SIG to further improve its services. Your timely completion of the activities below will help us not only improve our services but also to continue to receive federal support. Participation in any of these activities is voluntary and confidential, and data collected from the evaluation activities will not be available to the public.

- Why Evaluate: This PowerPoint will explain the need for for evaluation.
Train-the-trainer Evaluation Model
- Training Form: This is a simple online form and is to be completed by you (the trainer) after each training. The purpose of the form is to collect basic information about the trainings (e.g. number of workshop participants, location etc.).
- Training Survey: This survey is to be completed by the trainees at the end of the workshop. The purpose of the survey is for program improvement and not for evaluating trainer skills. The short survey will take about 5 minutes to complete. This survey can be downloaded from the TN SIG website.

- Excel Spreadsheet: After you (the trainer) have administered the surveys, please enter the results of the survey in the excel spreadsheet. The excel spreadsheet contains further instructions on data entry. Once you have completed data entry, please send the excel file to the TN SIG evaluator via email.

- Interviews: We are planning to conduct phone interviews. The purpose of the interviews it to collect information about your experiences and thoughts on trainings. The interviews will be conducted after you have started training preschool personnel.
